Well … it is underway once again … another season for the Men of the Tay and the Women of the Tay Choruses.
This year the two choirs will come together with a Christmas Concert that is certain to please ever ear. With music ranging from seasonal favourites through to the Ralph Vaughan Williams “Fantasia on Christmas Carols” no one will go away disappointed.
The concert will take place on Sunday, December 9th at 2:00 PM in historic St. James Anglican Church on Drummond Street in Perth Ontario. As with all of the programmes, it will be offered without admission costs, although you may choose to make a freewill donation to help with the choir’s expenses.
The first rehearsals take place for the Men on Monday, September 10th and for the Women on Wednesday, September 12th. Both rehearsals begin at 7:00 PM and end promptly at 9:00 PM. We rehearse at First Baptist Church, on D’Arcy Street in Perth.
New members are welcome to join, particularly as we start our season. There are openings in all sections of the Men’s chorus, with a particular need for Tenors. There are only one or two spots available in the Women’s chorus. You can email musicofthetay@gmail.com for more information.
